PrinterReviews is committed to full transparency about how we generate revenue and how our commercial relationships may — or, importantly, may not — affect our editorial content.
In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines concerning the use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose that PrinterReviews participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that when you click certain product links on our website and subsequently make a purchase, we may receive a commission.
Affiliate marketing is a common method by which editorial websites generate revenue. When a product link on this site leads to a retailer website (such as Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo, or others), we may have an affiliate relationship with that retailer. If you complete a purchase after clicking our link, the retailer pays us a small commission — typically between 1% and 8% of the purchase value, depending on the retailer and product category.
This commission comes at no additional cost to you. You pay the same price whether you click our link or navigate to the retailer directly.
PrinterReviews is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
In addition to Amazon, we may have affiliate relationships with other retailers including but not limited to Best Buy, B&H Photo Video, Adorama, Walmart, Staples, and Office Depot. We participate in affiliate programs through networks including CJ Affiliate, ShareASale, and Rakuten Advertising.
We want to be explicit about what our affiliate relationships do and do not affect:
They do not affect: The products we choose to review. The scores and ratings we assign. Our written opinions, verdicts, or recommendations. Which product we name as "Best" in a given category. Our decision to highlight flaws, weaknesses, or negative aspects of products.
They may affect: Which retailer links we include alongside our reviews (we will generally link to retailers with whom we have affiliate relationships when those retailers offer competitive pricing).
Our editorial team operates independently. Reviewers are not compensated based on affiliate revenue generated from their articles. Our senior editorial staff makes all recommendation decisions without input from our commercial team.
PrinterReviews does not accept free review units from manufacturers. Every printer reviewed on this site was purchased at full retail price. This policy ensures our reviews are uninfluenced by manufacturer relationships and that the units we test represent what consumers actually receive.
PrinterReviews displays advertising through Google AdSense and potentially other advertising networks. Advertising on the Site is served programmatically and is not influenced by our editorial team. Advertisers have no input into our editorial content or recommendations.
